Sauce Pocket

About

Sauce Pocket is a high-octane psychedelic funk ensemble out of Jacksonville, FL, known for transforming stages into dance floors and audiences into a sea of movement. The band features Steven Rose on guitar, Riley O’Brien on drums and percussion, Taylor Ivie on bass, Aaron Thorla on keys, and Matt Horhota on sax — recently joined by Colorado soul singer Jessica Jones, whose dynamic vocals have elevated the group to new heights.

Together, this virtuosic sextet channels influences as wide-ranging as funk, soul, and hip hop to house, samba, and Latin jazz. Their performances unleash sweeping improvisations and hard-hitting originals, blurring genre lines and creating a sound that is equal parts raw groove and interstellar exploration. Whether in an intimate room or on a festival stage, Sauce Pocket delivers a musical experience that’s as unpredictable as it is unforgettable.

In the Room

When Sauce Pocket hit the Tigre Island Room stage, they lit up the space with their signature blend of groove, soul, and psychedelic firepower. The band’s unstoppable energy, paired with Jessica Jones’ soaring vocals, had the crowd moving from the first note. Every moment felt alive and electric — and it’s exactly the kind of show that keeps us buzzing long after the last song.
