Light The Wire

About

Born out of connection and creativity during the lockdown, Light the Wire has evolved from an online collaboration between long-time Tampa musicians into one of Florida’s most dynamic indie-folk rock bands. Blending powerful vocal harmonies, soulful violin, and driving rhythms, their sound captures both emotion and energy — heartfelt storytelling wrapped in rich, melodic layers.

The quintet — Alexa Toro (vocals, percussion), Dani Jaye (vocals, violin), Caleb Bone (vocals, guitar), Jerrod Simpson (vocals, guitar), and Dylan Chee-a-Tow (drums) — brings an undeniable chemistry to every stage they play. Their performances have graced festivals like Gasparilla Music Festival, Whippersnap, and Sunshine Get Down, along with a steady run of shows across the Tampa Bay scene from St. Pete to Sparkman Wharf.

In the Room

In October 2025, Light the Wire brought their signature sound to The Tigre Island Room, filling the space with harmonies that soared and rhythms that pulsed through the crowd. Their performance was equal parts intimate and electric — a true showcase of Florida-grown talent.
