Fortune Child

About

North Florida–based Fortune Child is a powerhouse trio delivering a fiery blend of rock ’n’ roll, blues, and psychedelic grit. Formed in 2021, the band features Buddy Crump on guitar, Christian Powers on drums and lead vocals, and Jon Ward on bass—three musicians locked into a sound that’s both heavy and intricately layered.

Known for their electrifying live performances, Fortune Child combines gritty guitar riffs, soulful vocals, and hypnotic rhythms into a sound that feels classic yet unmistakably their own. Their tight musicianship and raw intensity have quickly earned them a reputation as one of the most exciting rising acts in the rock scene.

The band hit a major stride in 2023 supporting The Black Crowes on tour, followed by a spot on the Joe Bonamassa Blues Cruise in 2024. After rejoining The Black Crowes later that year, they captured the energy of their live show on Live at The Amp, and continued their momentum with a European tour—selling out shows across Spain, France, and Belgium while recording their live EP European Fever Dream.

Carrying that momentum into 2025, the band released their latest full-length album, She Was a Dove, continuing to push their sound forward both in the studio and on stages around the world.

In the Room

When Fortune Child takes the Tigre Island Room stage, it’s a full-force sonic experience. The guitars roar, the rhythm section drives deep, and the energy is relentless from start to finish. Their chemistry is undeniable—tight, loud, and completely dialed in.

It’s the kind of show that grabs you and doesn’t let go—raw, immersive, and built to be felt as much as heard.
